Abstract

Through monitoring from May 15 to June 7, 2021, on two journalistic portals,  the approach focused on comparing the information from Aristegui Noticias and El Universal Online to recognize how the stigmatization of the sick people of Covid-19 is constructed through analysis of the news issued, the results indicate that the news articles foster a stigmatizing imaginary, since they propose discourses of exclusion and rejection, however, it is not only these journalistic media who emits such stigma, but also the sources from which the information comes. In addition to the stigma, there is a discriminatory burden towards the sick people.
