The role of a teacher in the learning of a university student's research is essential in these times, not only because his or her role is to know, but also to facilitate educational experiences in a university student who does not always have the attitudes or interests to appropriate content. linked to disciplinary research. Hence, the teacher requires disciplinary knowledge, pedagogical, investigative and digital knowledge to expand the means, resources and strategies that favor a learning itinerary capable of innovating and recreating new situations that allow the student to learn. Based on these approaches, it is the intention of this article to share some of the results of a couple of investigations in which research training in undergraduate studies was investigated, as well as another on the attitudes towards the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). They have graduate students. Both experiences allow us to elucidate the place that Communication and digital educational resources can have in configuring learning environments where teachers are mediators of an experience that is not always simple.
