The communication policy of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (amlo) has been the subject of intense debates and analysis both in Mexico and abroad. This article examines the role that political communication has played in amlo's administration, highlighting its distinctive style and the strategies employed. It analyzes how these strategies reflect a significant transformation in the government's interaction with citizens and the media. Through a critical approach, the key differences between the communication of the current government and that of its predecessors are explored, focusing on aspects such as transparency, the relationship with the media, the use of social networks, the polarization of discourse and the effectiveness of public communication. The impacts of these differences are examined and their implications for democracy are reflected on. This analysis contributes to an understanding of the changing dynamics between government and society in the digital age in the field of political communication.
